=====================================
1. Copy all the relevant files into a suitable directory. Any directory
will do. It doesn't need to be in the system path, and you don't have to
muck around with any environment variables, as long as all the relevant
files are in it. The necessary files are marked with an asterisk (*) on
the distribution file list (FILES.LST).
2. Run the program ALARMTSR.COM to load the memory resident portion of the
program. Since this program must be run every time the computer is
booted for Alarm to function correctly, you may want to insert a line in
your AUTOEXEC.BAT file to ensure that ALARMTSR.COM is automatically
loaded every time. You can run the batch file ALARMBAT.BAT to do this
for you, if you like.
3. Run the program ALARM.EXE whenever you want to set, edit or delete an
alarm. This program also does some other things you may find useful, but
you'll have to look in the documentation or online help to find out
about them.
Please read the documentation for more information. I know not many people
actually do read it, but there really is some useful information in there.
