  12. 1. Copy all the relevant files into a suitable directory. Any directory
  13.    will do. It doesn't need to be in the system path, and you don't have to
  14.    muck around with any environment variables, as long as all the relevant
  15.    files are in it. The necessary files are marked with an asterisk (*) on
  16.    the distribution file list (FILES.LST).

  18. 2. Run the program ALARMTSR.COM to load the memory resident portion of the
  19.    program. Since this program must be run every time the computer is
  20.    booted for Alarm to function correctly, you may want to insert a line in
  21.    your AUTOEXEC.BAT file to ensure that ALARMTSR.COM is automatically
  22.    loaded every time. You can run the batch file ALARMBAT.BAT to do this
  23.    for you, if you like.

  25. 3. Run the program ALARM.EXE whenever you want to set, edit or delete an
  26.    alarm. This program also does some other things you may find useful, but
  27.    you'll have to look in the documentation or online help to find out
  28.    about them.

  31. actually do read it, but there really is some useful information in there.
